Letter from the Founder
Dear Avaks, It’s hard to believe, but almost 28 years ago I met Raquel through a dear friend in Madrid — a moment that quietly planted the very first seed of what would one day become Avakadu World. In the 90´s we started Astrea, at Finca La Chopera — a pioneering retreat center just outside Madrid where doctors, artists, and psychologists came together to explore how the intelligence of Nature and our deep interconnectedness could improve our human experience. What unfolded there was really something special: a true community began to blossom. Workshops grew, ideas flowed, and we even opened the first farm-to-table vegetarian restaurant to nourish a growing community. Over the years, we kept growing along our own paths — Developing new businesses, deepening our work in consciousness, healing, observation, research and education. And now, it´s the right time to bring that same vision to the next generation — the children who will carry forward this work of reimagining and caring for our world.
